Statue dei viali del Pincio

Historic site · Campo Marzio, Italy

The antique and nineteenth-century sculpture set along the avenues of the Pincio, written here as one record because Roma Capitale enumerates it as one.

History

Roma Capitale lists a small Raffaello Sanzio of 1838; a round fountain with Moses saved from the Nile, placed in 1868; the bust of Valadier closing viale del Belvedere; an Esculapio with a fifth-century body and a probably fourth-century head; and a Cibele of Antonine date which, with a Polimnia and an Abbondanza now standing in front of Villa Medici's entrance, was kept in the Palazzo dei Conservatori on the Campidoglio and moved to the Pincio in 1846.
