History
Designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in November 1965, the first historic district ever designated in New York City, after a brownstone-revival campaign by the group that became the Brooklyn Heights Association. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in October 1966 under reference number 66000524.

Roughly bounded by Cadman Plaza West and Old Fulton Street to the north, the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to the west, Atlantic Avenue to the south, and an irregular line near Clinton and Henry Streets to the east, Brooklyn, NY
