Chiesa di San Marone
Historic site · Ludovisi, Italy
The Maronite national church of Lebanon. Italian Wikipedia records that it was built in 1890 to the design of Andrea Busiri Vici, and that it is dedicated to the fifth-century Syrian hermit who founded the Maronite Church. It is served by Maronites of Lebanon, in the Antiochene rite, in Arabic.
History
Italian Wikipedia records that the Maronite monastery attached to the church was converted into a hotel in 1936. This is a short entry because the sources are short: the church has a five-line article on Italian Wikipedia, and no source names an official site for it. What it is and where it is are established; nothing else about it is.
