Fontana dell'Acqua Paola in piazza Trilussa

A fountain in piazza Trilussa, rebuilt on this bank in axis with Ponte Sisto. It is a different fountain from the Fontanone on the Janiculum, despite sharing the aqueduct's name; do not conflate the two. The Sovrintendenza Capitolina's page for it states Rione: Trastevere.
History
Roma Capitale records that it was built in 1613 by the Fleming Jan van Santen (1550-1621), known as Giovanni Vasanzio, with Giovanni Fontana (1540-1614), for Paul V; that it originally stood on the left bank at the end of via Giulia, by the Ospizio dei Mendicanti; that it was dismantled in 1879 for the Tiber embankment works and rebuilt on the right bank in 1898, in axis with Ponte Sisto; and that two inscriptions added after the move record the transfer.
