Lloyd Park

Lloyd Park is the former grounds of the Water House and surrounds the William Morris Gallery on Forest Road, E17 4PP; the moat that rings the house predates the Georgian building. It holds the Winns Gallery, an exhibition space run alongside the William Morris Gallery, together with an aviary and a skate park. The park carries no entry on the National Heritage List for England.
History
Edward Lloyd bought the Water House in 1856, and his son gave the house and its grounds to Walthamstow in 1900, after which the grounds became a public park. Walthamstow Central is the nearest station at 794 m to the Underground station on the Victoria line and 798 m to the Overground station on the Weaver line; Blackhorse Road, on the Victoria and Suffragette lines, is 1,637 m away and serves the west end of Forest Road rather than the park.
