The Nonantum Resort

A family-owned waterfront resort at 95 Ocean Avenue, 1.85 road miles from Cape Arundel's first tee, set along the Kennebunk River. It lends bicycles and kayaks at no charge, runs a shuttle into town and to the beach, and keeps a heated saltwater pool; two restaurants are on the property, Heckmans and Latitudes, along with Camp Nonantum for children. Its own booking engine describes it as "Open seasonally and located in one of New England's most famous seaside villages" — seasonal in the operator's words, with no opening or closing date named. The activities programme runs mid-June to Labor Day and the outdoor heated pool is open Memorial Day to Columbus Day. Heckmans keeps "Wednesday - Sunday: 4:00PM – 10:30PM. Food Served Until 9:00PM.
