The parish church of the Villaggio Olimpico, on viale XVII Olimpiade, in the quartiere Parioli. It is built in exposed brick with a steel and glass roof and is preceded by a statue of an angel that reproduces one of the statues of Ponte Sant'Angelo.
History
The parish was constituted on 2 May 1962 by the decree Ludis olimpicis solemniter. Before the present building went up the parish was visited by Paul VI on 5 June 1969. The church was built between 1983 and 1986 to a design by Francesco Berarducci and consecrated by Cardinal Ugo Poletti on 23 November 1986; John Paul II visited on 16 February 1992.
