San Francisco County Fair Building

A Mid-century Modern building at the Botanical Garden, of cast concrete walls scored into blocks with a metal pan roof, containing an auditorium, meeting rooms, exhibition space and offices. The Helen Crocker Russell Library of Horticulture is an extension of it.
History
Built in 1960 as the Hall of Flowers to designs by the architects Appleton and Wolfard; the name was changed in 1986 to avoid confusion with the Conservatory of Flowers. The library was designed by the firm of Yuill-Thorton, Warner and Levikow and was dedicated in 1972.
