Union Temple of Brooklyn on Eastern Parkway

A community house on Eastern Parkway between Underhill Avenue and Plaza Street East, designed by the architect Arnold Brunner and dedicated in 1929. It is no longer a synagogue: the congregation merged into Congregation Beth Elohim on March 26, 2021, and the building has been repurposed as a cultural and event space.

History

The building was dedicated in 1929 following the 1921 merger of two 19th-century Jewish congregations, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 18, 2015.
