Villino Cagiati

Historic site · Prati, Italy

One of the four surviving detached houses of the first Prati, at the corner of via dei Gracchi and via Virginio Orsini. Its façade was restored in the twenty-first century, keeping much of the original metal, stone and ceramic ornament.

History

Italian Wikipedia credits the house to the architect Garibaldi Burba and names Giulio Cagiati as the man it was built for. This guide gives no construction date: Italian Wikipedia and Rome Art Lover give dates more than a decade apart and nothing reached settles which is right.
