The Whitgift Almshouses form a quadrangle standing directly on the pedestrianised North End shopping street at CR0 1PA, opposite the Whitgift Centre. Historic England lists it at Grade I as NHLE 1188846 under the entry name Hospital of the Holy Trinity (Whitgift Hospital). No source states its opening hours, so none are given here.
History
The building was first listed on 29 January 1951, with the statutory address Hospital of the Holy Trinity (Whitgift Hospital), North End. The Whitgift School War Memorial at Haling Park, South Croydon CR2 6YT, belongs to the same foundation and is separately Grade II listed, NHLE 1442708. George Street tram stop is 139 m away and West Croydon, which takes Southern, the Overground Windrush line and the tram, is 658 m.
