Antica Cartotecnica
Shop · Sant'Eustachio, Italy
A stationer's on piazza dei Caprettari selling pens, inks, wooden set squares, drafting boards and typewriters. Roma Capitale lists it among the city's historic shops. No source states its opening hours, so none are given here.
History
Roma Capitale records that in the 1930s Elisa Berti, grandmother of the present owner, worked at the SACE Cartoleria Esperia, a stationery warehouse supplying ministries, public offices and schools; when the owner gave up the business she took it over as Cartotecnica Commerciale with two other employees, later keeping part of it for herself. Her children Paola and Giovanni joined in the 1950s and shifted the business towards writing instruments, and Eduardo De Filippo and Renato Rascel are named among the customers. Alessandro Billi has run the shop since the 1990s.
