Catacomba dei Santi Marco e Marcelliano

A funerary area of the callistian complex, between via Appia Antica and via Ardeatina. It was anciently the cimitero di Basileo ad sanctum Marcum et Marcellianum, named first for the landowner and then for the martyrs. A second above-ground basilica held the tomb Pope Damasus chose for himself, his mother Lorenza and his sister Irene; nothing of the above-ground structures survives. No visiting arrangements are stated for it, so none are given here.
