The museum is temporarily closed. Its visitor entrance is on Viale Europa at the corner of Via Cristoforo Colombo, inside the EUR seat of the Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy, by the Metro B station EUR Palasport; the telephone number is 06 5444 3000 and the office contact address is Viale America 201.
History
The museum covers about 4,000 m2 of rooms on the history of Italian post and telecommunications. Its holdings include post boxes, the earliest shown being one from Borgo Cerreto dated 1633, a reconstructed late nineteenth-century post office, the mails of the pre-unification states, military post, and material connected with Guglielmo Marconi and Antonio Meucci.
