Museo Hendrik Christian Andersen

Andersen built the house to his own design between 1922 and 1925: a palazzina with an attached sculpture studio, its neo-Renaissance elevations carrying heads of members of his family on the via Mancini and via Pisanelli fronts. He died in 1940 and left the house and his collection to the state; the building came into public life after the death of Lucia Andersen in 1978, and the museum opened on 19 December 1999. The sculptures were carved for the World Centre of Communication that Andersen and Ernest Hébrard published in 1913.
