Roma Capitale gives the hours as Tuesday to Sunday 10.00 to 18.00, last entry 17.15, with 10.00 to 14.00 on 24 and 31 December, and the telephone number 060608. it.wikipedia records that the collection came chiefly from Count Giuseppe Primoli, 1851 to 1927, son of Carlotta Bonaparte and so a descendant of the family, and that he gave it to the city of Rome in 1927.

History

Roma Capitale records that the palace dates from the sixteenth century. It belonged to the Gottifredi, a holding still marked on Nolli's plan of 1748, and passed to the Filonardi at the end of the eighteenth century. Count Luigi Primoli bought it between 1820 and 1828. After the Tiber embankment walls and the opening of via Zanardelli reshaped the area, Count Giuseppe Primoli, sole owner from 1901, entrusted the rebuilding to the architect Raffaele Ojetti: the old front on piazza dell'Orso came down, a new block with corner loggias went up, a monumental entrance was made on via Zanardelli, the building was raised, and a new facade was given to piazza di Ponte Umberto. The work finished in 1911.
