Obelisco della Minerva
Historic site · Pigna, Italy
The obelisk on piazza della Minerva stands on the back of a marble elephant carved by Ercole Ferrata to a 1667 design by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, and is popularly called the Pulcin della Minerva.
History
Roma Capitale records that the Egyptian obelisk came from the Iseo Campense, the temple of Isis that stood in this quarter. No date is given for the obelisk itself on this page: Roma Capitale's tourism service and it.wikipedia disagree about it, and where sources conflict this corpus publishes no figure.
