Palazzo Mattei di Paganica, on piazza dell'Enciclopedia Italiana, is the seat of the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana, founded in Rome on 18 February 1925 by Giovanni Treccani and Giovanni Gentile.

History

The palace is one of the Mattei buildings of the Isola Mattei, on the square that was formerly piazza Paganica and took its present name from the Institute. The Institute was founded as the Istituto Giovanni Treccani.
