Forte Antenne

It is one of the fifteen forts built round Rome between 1877 and 1891, in what the source calls Prussian style. Its own article dates the fort 1880 to 1884 in the infobox and 1882 to 1891 in the text. Its strategic role ended in 1919; it was used as a store by the Reggimento Radiotelegrafisti into the 1940s and then decommissioned. The demanio ceded it to the Comune in 1958 for the 1960 Olympics, to be used as a campsite, but private dwellings had already gone up inside the fort and the campsite was built in the surrounding park instead.
