Via Cola di Rienzo
Historic site · Prati, Italy
The commercial spine of the rione. Roma Capitale's register states its limits as running from piazza della Libertà to piazza del Risorgimento, and records 272 conforming street numbers on the national address register, certified 16 December 2022.
History
The register attributes the street on 8 May 1885, by Prop. al CC n. 96, with the note R. PRATI, and confirms its limits by a determination of 1 March 1954, again R. PRATI. Its caption in the register reads that it is named for Niccolò Gabrini, tribune and senator of Rome of the fourteenth century, and files it under the toponymic group Personaggi e avvenimenti storici medioevali e moderni. Italian Wikipedia gives 1911 as the naming year; the register is the naming authority and this guide follows it.
