Piazza Guglielmo Marconi

The square that was designed as one of the fulcra of the 1942 exposition, and a useful address to steer by: the two palazzi of the Museo delle Civilta stand at nos. 14 and 8, and Dazzi's obelisk stands on the lawn at its centre.
History
It was originally piazza Imperiale. The palazzi around it were planned to hold four exhibitions, of science, popular traditions, ancient art and modern art, with a cinema-theatre closing the fourth side that was never built.
