Piscina delle Rose

Attraction · EUR, Italy

An open-air swimming pool with a basin of 50 by 25 m, built for the 1960 Olympic Games. It also houses a gym and a rowing and canoe club whose activity takes place on the neighbouring lake. No source states its opening hours or prices, so none are given here.

History

It was designed in 1958 and completed in 1960, as a training pool and the venue for the water-polo preliminary matches, by the architect Sergio Buonamico with the engineers Guido Gigli and Giorgio Biuso. It was refurbished in 2007, when an indoor pool and a restaurant were added.
