Ponte Pietro Nenni

Historic site · Prati, Italy

A bridge of three reinforced-concrete spans, 25.4 metres wide, carrying line A of the Rome metro across the Tiber at the surface. The far bank is in Q. I Flaminio, and this guide does not present the crossing as Prati's alone.

History

Italian Wikipedia dates the works to 1969-1972, credits the design to Luigi Moretti with Silvano Zorzi, and gives 1980 as the year of inauguration. The metro tracks surface at via Cesare Beccaria and dive again between viale Giulio Cesare and via degli Scipioni.
