A colonnaded portico rises off a travertine stair, the brick-clad colonnade carrying a circular travertine canopy around an open basin; the structure is reinforced concrete faced in fair-face brick alternating with travertine slabs, the interiors are tiled in light green, dark green, grey and blue, the caretaker's flat is painted in an orange called Arsonia, and the doors, windows and fittings are copper and anticorodal. In the basin stands a fountain in repousse copper by Napoleone Martinuzzi, 1892 to 1977, a Murano-born glass artist and sculptor, with the basin lined in blue Murano glass brick; it.wikipedia describes the figures as two double-tailed sirens holding cups of water above their heads, while ArchiDiAP, the source it.wikipedia cites, calls them two muses.
